The Crockett Family: A Beautiful Afternoon Filled With Connection

We first connected with the Crockett family when they reached out to us to photograph their eldest daughter's senior portraits some time ago. When they reached out this time for a family session, we were honored to be able to capture yet another family milestone. 

Before every session, we ask families to share details that help guide the posing, composition, and flow of the shoot. The Crockett family provided a few thoughtful preferences that shaped our approach:

• A mix of family style poses:

• A special note that their younger son had a shoulder injury and would be wearing a sling

• A request to gently downplay the sling in certain poses while still keeping him comfortable

These insights helped me prepare a session that felt both intentional and relaxed. The inside jokes, the subtle glances, the moments of laughter all brought the images to life. Some of my favorite moments included:

• The parents seated together with their children standing proudly behind them

• A playful granddaughter that was pure joy

• Soft candid interactions that showed the true personality of each family member

The Crockett portrait session was captured with moody lighting, creating a warm intimate atmosphere. They brought an energy that made the session easy, natural, and fun. Their willingness to embrace the moment, even with small adjustments along the way, made it a pleasure to capture them.
