Edited vs. Retouched

What’s the Difference?

When you book a session, every image you receive in the client proofing gallery will be edited so it looks clean, polished, and consistent. The final selected images will be retouched for a more detailed process that gives your photos that extra level of refinement.

Edited Images Include:

Adjusted lighting, color, and tone
Cropped or straightened if needed
Overall style applied for consistency
Minor background clean-up

Purpose: Makes the whole gallery look clean and cohesive.

Retouched Images Include:

Skin smoothing while keeping natural texture
Removal of blemishes or flyaway hairs
Brightened eyes and whitened teeth
Advanced background clean-up

Purpose: Perfects small details for a high-end look that is ideal for personal branding, print, or profile images.
